Quantity Surveyor

Selorm, is a Lecturer in Commercial and Value Management at the University College London (UCL) where he is involved with teaching, research and knowledge transfer in the broad domain of construction project management. He is also the Deputy Programme Director for the integrated masters degree in Construction Project Management. Prior to UCL, Selorm had worked as a Senior Lecturer in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management at the Oxford Brookes University where he led and taught on Quantity Surveying and Project Management modules at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate. Selorm’s research interests are
primarily in the areas of Infrastructure Project delivery, Project Owner and Operator (Client) Capabilities for procuring and delivering projects, Governance of Projects, Organisational Design, and Policy implications in the construction industry. He has previously worked as a teaching assistant in a university and further possesses substantial years of industrial experience in the built environment which has involved working with different project actors at different times. In these roles, Selorm has lead and project managed a US$ 25MM property portfolio; developed, structured and undertaken real estate transactions to the tune of US$14MM; led and coordinated project actors and teams on projects, and at other times been a member of such teams in positions such as Quantity Surveyor
and Site Engineer.
